Abstract

We lost a valuable friend and colleague, Dr. Mevlüt Gürlek, a faculty member of Molecular Ecology and Fisheries Genetic Laboratory, Faculty of Marine Sciences and Technology, Department of Marine Sciences, Iskenderun Technical University on 29.06.2022. Dr. Gürlek was a valuable scientist who specialized in fisheries genetics and fish biology and ecology. He made significant contributions to science with national and international projects as Project leader/researcher in the Molecular Ecology Fishery Genetics Laboratory.
